First I made the central "stone"---I've forgotten what I used; it was one of the first "badges" I made--- then I superimposed it on a "painted" 
background. I produced a number of different effects. This is just the first. My mom's favorite color combination is a color she calls "turquoise" and I call "aquamarine" together with cobalt blue and gold or yellow. I made this series with her in mind. She isn't able to access this website on the computer, but I email some of my "pieces" to her friend Howard and he prints them out for her.
