This image reminds me of shells---I suppose I'm thinking of sea urchins (bachelor's buttons)----and 
I am not sure why. I haven't seen one since I was a child. Once when I was 
at Myrtle Beach (girl scout trip), we found a lot of sea urchins on the beach. They are round spiny things and produce a very pretty shell, but dead sea urchins don't look or smell pretty. A loot of us took them home because the scout leader was enthusiastic about the beauty of bachelor's buttons, but she didn't explain how you get the skeleton separated from the rest of the creature. When I got home, my mother made me throw mine out. Not that I wouldn't have thought of it myself after another day or so.
Anyway, I like the colors of this. It's probably the coloration rather than the image itself that makes me think of shell-hunting at Myrtle Beach all those years ago.
