This next one was derived from a photograph I took of something or other---landscape photography in other words; but I have no idea what it was. It illustrates one aspect of editing your images: the final product can come out looking so completey unlike what you started with. On my image editing screen, this little rosette appears to be made of soap or plastic and the surrounding layers of paper, plastic, or perhaps a combination together with cloth. A mixed media picture in other words.
I have a soft spot for primitive, roughly carved ornaments if they are colorful and prettily glazed or otherwise ornamented, which it explains why I ended up with a lot of blog ornaments that look like handicraft projects (and not always good ones). I'm posting the ones I thought were interesting or unusual.
