Mobile Rainbow

Another tribute to days of yore:  a rainbow tinted half-circle of woven ('leather') inside a grass-green hoop slides swiftly across a track of pastel rainbow tints and teal.

Dove & Palm Cross

In honor of Palm Sunday, a palm cross surrounded by doves (adorned with purple hearts) and four golden rings.  It's a cross seen through the mist.

Yellow Palms and Pyramids

Abstract design in mixed media---pale yellow, rose, and violet---a circlet of embassed carved ceramic surrounding a "leather image" with a central "shield" with triangles embedded in it.   See if you can see patterns of palm trees and pyramids.

White Ribbon Cross.

 
This is a cross made from overlapping satin ribbon.  These ribbons are white with a pattern in silver.  Some of the overlapping ribbons are crimson and green.  Some of the ribbons are in garnet. 

     

The Box of Blues.

A box of deep blue ribbons with details of delicate green leaves touched with bold.  The box is made from deep blue brushed metal with a satiny Florentine finish. 

Chaos Bound.

This image took a long time to make:  using red and gold "silk" "ribbons" in colors and patterns inspired by southwestern/American Indian themes, I created a tangle of ribbons centering on a sort of central pinwheel.  In the corners are details in teal and hot pink; the central pinwheel is decorated with a touch of hot purple.

The peacock Throne.

A beautiful mandala made from stone "ribbons" in teal, periwinkle blue, gold, rose, robin's egg blue, and purple.  The central image is a small cluster of peacock feather.  The image is intricate; te predominant colors are teal, periwinkle, and rose.

The Greening Hills.

A wheel in silver and olive green, with accents in teal, apricot, bronze, and buff.  The cool silvers, browns, and whites are set off against a small golden central sunburst, and there is a tiny sprinkling of blue green and pink around the outer rim.  The predominant colors are olive, silver, white, and bronze.

The Three Fates.

Leather and brocade ribbons in peach, apricot, terra cotta, and crimson, and lime green, with touches of aubergine, gold, pewter, magenta, teal, and pale blue.  The image resembles ribbons woven together on a primitive loom.

Afternoon Sunlight on Antique Silk.

A weave of lacy ribbons with a silky texture in shades of olive, hunter's green, indigo, aqua, mauve, ice blue, and old rose.  the image has a soft golden sheen like light beaming through a window; the ribbons are richly detailed.   There's a nostalgic feeling to these colors, which despite their jewel-like hues are very soft and remote.  These are bits of fabric woven together by a sheltered young woman in an antique time.
