I actually posted this for the first time Monday, and I apologize to the couple of Thirteeners who have seen it.   I was putting together another one, but then realized that I wasn't going to get it finished.  So I've simply updated.

 

Sometimes you feel that Christmas spirit; some times you don't.   Sometimes your pet's all, "You can make me look adorable, but you can't make me enjoy it!"

Another set of magnificent photographs found through Flickr's Creative Commons.  They were chosen not only for cuteness but for the excellence of the photos and how well they conveyed that sense of "Christmas.  Whatever," that we all sometimes experience.

Sometimes the season isn't as delicious as you anticipated; sometimes you don't get that present you were counting on; sometimes your relatives snipe at your or your kids aren't satisfied with anything they got; sometimes the Christmas dinner burns; sometimes you drink too much egg nog and end up with a hang-over; and sometimes it's just not the right time to celebrate.
